Every good painter paints what he is.-JP
“Any artist will tell you he’s really only interested in the stuff he’s doing now. He will, always. It’s true– and it should be like that.”
“The fact that people break down and cry when confronted with my pictures shows that I can communicate those basic human emotions.. the people who weep before my pictures are having the same religious experience I had when painting them. And if you say you are moved only by their color relationships then you miss the point.”
you have to see this window installation in person…AMAZING!! Fred is one of thee illest illustrtors, personal opinion and generally stating.
the ashy bone Grey colorway is def the hottest!!
Initially announced earlier in the year, the cover art for Jay-Z’s Decoded has finally been unveiled. Quite the interesting move for the famed musician, Decoded plays the role of exactly what its title suggest, the decoding of 36 classic Jay-Z tracks. For each, Mr. Carter provides his own insight into the meaning behind particular lyrics, and his reasoning for writing them. Hip-hop educational and equally entertaining, the book will be offered in a hardcover version through publisher Spiegel & Grau and in digital form via an eBook and iPhone/iPad app. A release is set for November 16th through finer booksellers, including Amazon, which is now taking pre-orders for the special price of $21 USD.
